After a lengthy road trip, the Green Bay Blue Ribbons returned to Joannes Stadium to take on the
Appleton Legends. With another lengthy road trip upcoming, this will be the only Blue Ribbons
home game over a three-week span.
It was Ripon’s Sam Ott who started on the mound for the Blue Ribbons. Ott would give Green
Bay a solid outing as he went six and a third innings giving up just two earned runs and striking
out eight Appleton batters. Despite the quality start, the Blue Ribbons bats were unable to muster
any runs and were held to just two hits, a single from Jaden Werner and a double from Andrew
Schroeder. The highlight from this one was the Blue Ribbons defense that turned not one, but
two double plays on the night to keep the game close.
The Legends would eventually wind up scoring a total of four runs, beating the Blue Ribbons
four to zero. Green Bay’s next game is Tuesday, July 5th in Sheboygan. The next home game is
First Responders Night on Tuesday, July 12th against the Denmark Devilbears. First pitch is
scheduled for 7:30 PM.
