GREEN BAY FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS AGAINST DENMARK

By GameChanger Media – The Green Bay Blue Ribbons easily dispatched the Denmark Devilbears on Monday, 17-6.

Denmark Devilbears got on the board in the top of the first inning before Green Bay flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring eight runs on seven hits to take a 9-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Jake Lucas that drove in two.

Green Bay scored six runs on one hit in the bottom of the sixth inning. Brendan Willadsen drew a walk, scoring one run, Carter Kallies singled, scoring two runs, Ethan Habetler hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Griffin Summers drew a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run.

Wyatt Fischer earned the win for Green Bay. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and five runs (four earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four. Owen Degrand took the loss for Denmark Devilbears. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out four and walking one. Benje Hencke, Alex Petasek, and Eli Frank each threw shutout innings for Green Bay in relief.

Green Bay tallied 16 hits in the game. Carter Kallies led the Blue Ribbons with three hits in four at bats. Brendan Willadsen, Carter Kallies, and Griffin Summers each drove in three runs. Jake Petasek and Jake Lucas each collected multiple hits for Green Bay and the Blue Ribbons had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Cal Casper and Griffin Summers led the team with two bases on balls each.
