BLUE RIBBONS WALK-OFF BANDITS

By GameChanger Media – The Blue Ribbons were victorious against the Manitowoc Bandits 6-5 on Wednesday.

The Ribbons were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on a dropped third strike.
Green Bay added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Jake Petasek was struck by a pitch, and Brendan Willadsen singled, each scoring one run.

A single gave Manitowoc the lead, 4-3, in the top of the fifth, but Green Bay tied the game up in the bottom of the ninth thanks to two doubles, tying the game at five on a double by Hunter Larson. Larson would then come in to score the winning run.

Benje Hencke earned the win for Green Bay. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Kaden Krueger started on the bump for Green Bay and allowed six hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four. Jake Lucas appeared in relief for Green Bay.

Brendan Willadsen and Brady LaViolette each collected two hits. Jake Petasek, Brendan Willadsen, James Bornick, and Hunter Larson each drove in one run. Jake Petasek stole two bases.

Green Bay will travel to Denmark for their next game on Thursday against the Devilbears.
