Green Bay Blue Ribbons were victorious against West Allis Nationals 6-2 on Saturday at Beaumont Field, Burlington, WI.
A fielder’s choice by Alexi Phillips put Green Bay Blue Ribbons on the board in the top of the first.
Brian Huntzinger singled down the right field line on the sixth pitch of the at-bat, which helped West Allis Nationals tie the game at two in the bottom of the first.
Green Bay Blue Ribbons took the lead in the top of the fourth. Isaac Poehlman singled, scoring two runs, to give Green Bay Blue Ribbons the edge, 4-2.
Tavian Ramos stepped on the bump first for Green Bay Blue Ribbons. The pitcher allowed one hit and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking five. Bobby Barrera started the game for West Allis Nationals. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and four runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking four. Dylan Heier and Evan Cichanofsky each threw shutout innings for Green Bay Blue Ribbons in relief.
