RIBBONS RETURN HOME

The Blue Ribbons wrapped up a grueling road trip that included six games over the last three days, highlighted by a 6-3 win over West Allis on Saturday night.

After dropping a pair of close games to Kewaskum on Friday night, Green Bay’s offense came to life against West Allis on Saturday, with Sam Ott leading the way, collecting four hits.

The Nationals took game one 11-7, but the Blue Ribbons fought back to earn a victory in game two, as Tucker Kohl added two hits and Trent Van Ess drove in three runs.

Sunday was controlled by pitching, as the Blue Ribbons were one-hit in their first game against Burlington, then were edged 5-4 in the second game.

Green Bay (14-18 overall and 9-14 in Wisconsin State League play) returns home now with games at Joannes Stadium against Denmark on Tuesday and Menasha on Thursday.
