After dropping a close game to start off Saturday’s action, the Blue Ribbons rebounded in a big way, scoring ten runs on ten hits to cruise to a 10-1 victory in game two of their Wisconsin State League doubleheader against the West Allis Nationals.
West Allis grabbed a 3-0 lead in game one, with single runs in the first, second and fourth, before the Blue Ribbons got things going with a two-run bottom of the fifth to pull within a run. After second baseman Jacob Lacy led off the inning with a ringing double to center, shortstop Griffin Summers drew a walk and both would come in to score on a two-out single from Jonah Landowski.
Each team added a run in the sixth, and the Ribbons had the tying run at third and the go-ahead run at first, but were unable to cash in. From there West Allis set them down in order in the seventh to hang on for a 4-3 win.
Starting pitcher Noah Robinson turned in a quality start, allowing three earned runs over six-plus innings of work, and reliever Adam Gutschow came on to get out of a bases loaded jam in the seventh, retiring all three batters he faced.

Game two turned out much better for the Ribbons, as they jumped on top with a four-run first inning, highlighted by a two-run single off the bat of designated hitter Ethan Habetler.
The Nationals got on the board with a run in the top of the third, but the Blue Ribbons blew the game wide open, when they plated six runs in the bottom half of the fifth to go up by a score of 10-1. Greater Green Bay collected six hits in the inning, including doubles from Josh Gates, Trent Van Ess, Daisuke Sasaki and Griffin Summers.
Landowski started on the mound for the Ribbons in game two and picked up the win after going five innings and allowing just one run. Left-hander Liam Jones came on to finish things off, working the final two scoreless innings to lock down the victory.

The Blue Ribbons have a series of off days coming up, before returning to action on Thursday night when they travel to Menasha to take on the Macs.
