The Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons struggles continued, as they were defeated soundly by the Appleton Legends on Tuesday night, dropping their record for the season to 6-12.
Appleton scored two in the second and another in the third, while Greater Green Bay scored one in the second and two in the third, to leave the game tied at 3-3. But the Legends took control with a four-run fourth inning, then padded their lead with single runs in the fifth and sixth.
The Blue Ribbons were led by Jayden Adrians, who slugged a solo home run, and Tyler Blum, who went 2-for-3 with a run scored, and also worked three innings in relief of starting pitcher Alec Danen.
Greater Green Bay will play a seven-inning non-league game against the Hortonville Stars on Wednesday night, then have a day off on Thursday before hosting a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.
