A’s KNOCK OFF RIBBONS IN NEWBL TOURNEY

The Blue Ribbons fell to 1-1 in NEWBL tournament play, as they dropped their game to Kewaskum on Wednesday night by a score of 8-5.

Kewaskum took the lead early, scoring three runs in the first and three more in the second to go on top 6-0, before the Ribbons got on the scoreboard in the fourth.

The A’s answered with a run in their half of the fourth, but Green Bay made it 7-2 when Eli Kramer scored on an RBI groundout by Eric Modaff. before Kewaskum added another run in the bottom of the fifth.

Trailing 8-2 heading to the seventh, the Ribbons made a game of things when Yuta Kudoh scored on a Modaff double, and then Jayden Adrians slugged a two-run homer, but that would be as close as Green Bay would get.
