SEVEN-RUN SIXTH LEADS TO VICTORY

The Blue Ribbons offense racked up ten runs on Monday night en route to a dominating 10-3 win over the Appleton Legends at Alex Rodriguez Field.

Greater Green Bay put up a pair of runs in the first inning, with leadoff man Yuta Kudoh scoring on an RBI single from Sam Kohnle, and Eric Modaff coming around to score on a double off the bat of Matt Bald.

The Ribbons added a run in the top of the third, but Appleton plated a run in the second and two more in the fifth to tie the game.

With the game knotted at 3-3 heading into the sixth, the Blue Ribbons unloaded for sevens runs, sending 11 batters to the plate in the inning, with Kohnle delivering a single to start the inning, and a bases clearing double to drive in three runs as Green Bay batted around.

The Ribbons are back at home on Tuesday night, when they host the Branch Blaze in a non-league game at Joannes Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 PM with gates opening at least one hour before.
