RIBBONS WRAP UP 2025 SEASON

The Blue Ribbons’ 2025 season came to a close with an ending very similar to 2024. After two big wins on Saturday, Green Bay dropped their final two games on Sunday to finish second in the the Wisconsin State League’s State Tournament in Oshkosh.

Game one on Saturday saw the Ribbons take down Sheboygan 7-2, as they finally got to A’s starter Brad Rindfleisch. Green Bay starter Joe Anderson allowed just three hits over six innings to earn the win while Boone Kirst collected three hits and drove in three runs.

Game two was a crazy affair, that saw Green Bay rally back to erase a six-run deficit. The big blast was a two-run home run off the bat of Eason Hurd. The game would wind up going 13 innings, before the Ribbons finally broke through with three runs for a 9-6 win on Saturday night.

Payton Kohnle and Brayden Pleau each had three hits, while Josh Opiola and Brett Paulsen combined to throw eight innings of scoreless relief in the win.

Game three on Sunday afternoon was a meaningless contest, as Green Bay had already clinched a spot in the Championship game, and the Ribbons dropped the game to West Allis by a score of 12-4.

Boone Kirst picked up two hits, while Brayden Pleau drove in three runs in the loss.

Finally, in the Championship game on Sunday, the Blue Ribbons bats were held in check, as they managed just two hits in a 5-0 loss to Sheboygan.

Brendan Willadsen and Easton Arendt picked up the only hits of the game for the Blue Ribbons, with Arendt also working 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.
