ORIOLES SWEEP BLUE RIBBONS

The Blue Ribbons dropped a pair of close games to Lombard on Sunday, falling to 20-15 on the season and just 4-12 in the month of July.

In game one, the Blue Ribbons were shut out once again on just three hits, as they fell by a score of 2-0. Starting pitcher Owen Deprez did his best to keep the team in the game, allowing just one earned run over six innings, but he got no help from his offense as he was tagged with his first loss of the year.

In game two, the Blue Ribbons out-hit the Orioles, and scored two runs in the fifth and another in the sixth to take a 3-1 lead, but reliever Ian Aoki surrendered a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth, resulting in a 4-3 loss for Green Bay.
