The Blue Ribbons saw their shot at a Wisconsin State League title start to fade as they dropped a pair of games to Lombard on Saturday.
In game one, the Green Bay offense was non-existent, as they managed just one hit in a 4-0 shutout loss. Trevor Vande Hey collected the only base hit, while Drew Siudzinski walked and was hit by a pitch and Brayden Pleau managed a base on balls.

Game two was a bit more competitive, but the Ribbons again couldn’t deliver when it counted, as they dropped a back-and-forth contest by a score of 6-5.
Trailing 3-0, the Blue Ribbons scored four runs in the fifth inning, but then gave up a pair in the sixth. Green Bay plated a run in the top of the seventh and had the bases loaded with nobody out, but three straight Blue Ribbons hitters struck out to end the game.
Brayden Pleau and Wilson Zuck led the offense, with each going 2-for-4, while Eason Hurd went 1-for-3 with a double.
