Fans flocked to Joannes Stadium in droves on Wednesday night for Youth Baseball/Softball Night, and the Blue Ribbons looked in control with a 5-4 lead and two outs in the ninth, but Manitowoc found that their best strategy was to not swing the bat, as they managed to plate three runs without having to take the bats off of their shoulders, thanks to four walks and a hit battr, as Green Bay wound up falling by a score of 7-5.
Resting many of their starters, the Blue Ribbons offense was led by several of their few regulars who did see action, including second baseman Payton Kohnle, who went 3-for-4 with a walk, while Trevor Vande Hey and Milo Upton added two hits each.
Starting pitcher Ian Aoki and reliever Dylan Heier each worked two perfect innings, and slugger James Bornick even got in on the action on the mound, coming on to record the final out.

Green Bay now gets a much-needed five day break, before starting a big stretch of eight games in six days, when they return to Joannes Stadium to take on the Menasha Macs on Tuesday, July 8th.
