GREATER GREEN BAY FALLS TO SHEBOYGAN

RIBBONS PITCHERS ISSUE 14 WALKS IN LOSS

Pitching struggles continued to hurt Green Bay on Wednesday night as their hurlers combined to issue 14 walks in an 11-2 loss to the Sheboygan A’s.

The Blue Ribbons took an early lead when they plated a run in the bottom of the third on a two-out single by first baseman Sam Kohnle that drove in shortstop Griffin Summers, but it would be all Sheboygan the rest of the way.

The A’s scored four runs in the top of the fifth to take a 4-1 lead, then put things out of reach in the seventh, when first baseman Jacoby Endreas blasted a grand slam to make it 8-1.

Green Bay tried to rally late, tacking on a run in the bottom of the seventh when Summers drove in left fielder Tyler Blum, but it was too little, too late, as Sheboygan tacked on three more runs in the ninth and the Ribbons went down in defeat.
