LATE KENOSHA RALLY PREVENTS SUNDAY SWEEP
The Blue Ribbons’ bats showed signs of life as they picked up a win in the first game of their doubleheader, but Kenosha rallied late for a comeback victory to earn a split in Sunday afternoon’s action.
Greater Green Bay scored four runs in the first inning of game one, before Kenosha answered with single runs in the second and fourth. The Ribbons tacked on another run in the fifth, and then put the game away with another four-run inning in the sixth, highlighted by an Eli Kramer two-run homer.
Starting pitcher Lucas Frutig went the distance, allowing three runs to earn the win, while Matt Bald, Eric Modaff, Luke Gajewski and Jacob Lacy each contributed two hits for Green Bay.

Game two started in similar fashion, with Green Bay jumping out to an early lead with a run in the first and three more in the second. Kenosha answered however, scoring three runs of their own over the first two innings.
The Ribbons added to their lead with a run in the third, and then scored three more in the fourth to extend their lead to 8-3.
Kenosha came back however, plating two in the fourth and another in the fifth to pull within 8-6. The Kings then put three runs on the board in the bottom half of the sixth to take a 9-8 lead, and they held on from there to send Greater Green Bay down in defeat.
