KENOSHA TAKES TWO FROM RIBBONS

GREATER GREEN BAY DROPS BOTH ENDS OF DOUBLEHEADER

The Blue Ribbons dropped a pair of games to Kenosha on Saturday afternoon, as they were crushed 11-0 in game one, before a much closer 12-10 contest in game two.

Kenosha scored a run right away in the first, then added four more in the third to take an early lead in game one. They tacked on two more in the fourth, then put another four-spot on the board in the fifth to end the game.

Game two proved to be more competitive, but the Ribbons dropped a close one, despite an impressive comeback attempt.

The Ribbons took a 2-0 lead in the second, but Kenosha responded with three in their half of the inning, then plated five in the bottom of the third to make it 8-2.

Greater Green Bay chipped away with two runs in the fourth, but the Kings tacked on three more in their half of the inning to up their lead to 11-4.

The Blue Ribbons climbed their way back into the game with six runs in the top of the fifth, highlighted by a home run from right fielder Yuta Kudoh to pull within a run at 11-10, but that would be as close as they would get.
