GREEN BAY TALLIES TEN RUNS ON TEN HITS IN VICTORY OVER MENASHA
The Blue Ribbons slugged their way to victory at Joannes Stadium on Monday night, rallying for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to come from behind and defeat the Menasha Macs by a score of 10-7.
Greater Green Bay got in the run column right off the bat, plating two runs in the bottom half of the first inning on a Matt Bald RBI single and a Sam Kohnle fielder’s choice to drive in a run. Menasha responded with three runs in the top of the second, but the Blue Ribbons came right back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the third to re-take the lead.
The back-and-forth continued as Menasha tied the game with two runs in the fifth and then moved back in front with a run in the sixth.
Trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh, Sam Kohnle doubled to start the frame and Dylan Krumrei notched an infield single, then, with one out, designated hitter Jayden Adrians stepped to the plate and crushed a three-run home run to left to give Greater Green Bay an 8-6 lead.
The Ribbons tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the eighth and Hunter Petska closed it out in the ninth as Greater Green Bay picked up their second consecutive win.
