PLOG LEADS GREEN BAY PAST APPLETON

By GameChanger Media – Ethan Plog was dominant on the mound, as he rang up 13 strikeouts in Green Bay’s 8-1 victory over The Appleton Legends on Tuesday at USA Sports Complex in Appleton.

Plog allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings while walking three.

The Blue Ribbons scored five runs in the seventh inning on the way to victory.  An error scored one run, Brady LaViolette drew a walk, scoring one run, Brendan Willadsen drew a walk, scoring one run, Carter Kallies singled, scoring one run, and Ashton Long drew a walk, scoring one run.

A double by James Bornick after a 6-pitch at-bat put Green Bay on the board in the top of the first. A single by Griffin Summers extended the lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning.

Wyatt Fischer, Benje Hencke, and Ian Dohms each came on in relief for Green Bay and shutdown Appleton.

Green Bay tallied 10 hits in the game. James Bornick went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Blue Ribbons in hits. Griffin Summers, Carter Kallies, and Jake Petasek each drove in one run.
