BLUE RIBBONS SPLIT WITH KEWASKUM

By GameChanger Media – The Green Bay Blue Ribbons were triumphant over the Kewaskum A’s 9-5 on Sunday in game one of their doubleheader.

Green Bay jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Brady LaViolette singled, scoring one run, Payton Kohnle singled, scoring two runs, and Wilson Zuck was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

James Bornick hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the second for Green Bay, and they added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after a sacrifice fly, and a Jake Petasek double, each scoring one run.

Kewaskum scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to left field by Jared Chesak.

Kaden Krueger began the game for Green Bay and took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. The southpaw surrendered one hit and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Green Bay amassed 11 hits in the game. Eason Hurd, Ashton Long, and Payton Kohnle each collected two hits for the Blue Ribbons.


Green Bay dropped game two to Kewaskum by a score of 3-2 on the final play of the game. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the seventh when Hunter Loser singled, scoring one run.


The pitching was strong on both sides. Kewaskum pitchers struck out one, while Blue Ribbons hurlers sat down three.

Green Bay opened the scoring in the third after James Bornick hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Hunter Loser singled, which helped Kewaskum tie the game at two in the bottom of the sixth.

Tanner Alsteen stepped on the mound first for the Blue Ribbons. He allowed seven hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking two.

Green Bay amassed 10 hits in the game. James Bornick, Bryan Gerbers, and Jake Petasek each collected two hits for Green Bay. James Bornick and Eason Hurd each drove in one run.
