LATE RALLY COMES UP SHORT

BURLINGTON DEFEATS GREATER GREEN BAY 5-3

The Blue Ribbons dropped their seventh in a row on Friday night, as they fell to the Burlington Barons by a score of 5-3.

Greater Green Bay got on the board first when Griffin Summers led off with a single up the middle, then went first-to-third on a base hit by Yuta Kudoh and came in to score on a sacrifice fly by Matt Bald.

Burlington took the lead with a three-run third, then tacked on single runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to take a 5-1 lead.

The Blue Ribbons tried to mount a rally in the sixth, scoring two runs and then loading the bases with one out, but they couldn’t push any more runs across.
