The Green Bay offense exploded for ten runs in the fourth inning, sending 14 men to the plate, as they cruised to a 12-1 win in game one of their doubleheader on Saturday in Kenosha.
Catcher Steven Russell led the offense, getting on base in all four of his trips to the plate, collecting a walk, two singles and a triple, while also driving in five runs.
First baseman Eli Frank also had a big game for the Ribbons, with a single, two doubles, a walk and three runs batted in.
Bret Whiffen got the start and went the distance, allowing just one run while scattering five hits and striking out six, to earn the win.
Game two followed a similar pattern, with the Ribbons jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the first, another in the second and two more in the third to grab a 5-0 lead.
That would be more than enough for starting pitcher Logan Lange, who pitched a complete game, allowing just one run on two hits.
Griffin Summers, Trent Van Ess, Eli Frank and Devin Brown all finished with multi-hit games, with Summers reaching base four times and Frank driving in three more runs.
