DEPREZ GEM LEADS GREEN BAY TO VICTORY

A commanding pitching performance from Owen Deprez got the Blue Ribbons back in the win column, snapping a four-game losing streak, with a 6-1 win over Menasha on Thursday night.

Deprez got the start and tossed seven scoreless innings of one-hit ball while striking out nine, before Tanner Alsteen and Ben Destiche worked the final two frames to lock down the victory.

The game was scoreless through the first six innings, but the Ribbons broke through in the seventh with all of the offense they would need.

After loading the bases, Devin Brown delivered a one-out single that brought home Ethan Habetler and Griffin Summers to put Green Bay on top 2-0. After Brown took second base, Jaden Werner followed with a single of his own, to drive in Brown and extend the lead.

The Ribbons would tack on a run in the eighth and two more in the ninth, as they improved their NEWBL record on the season to 5-1.
