Green Bay’s offense came out swinging on Monday night and never looked back, as they rolled over Sheboygan by a score of 13-1 in a makeup game from an earlier rain out.
The Ribbons plated two runs in the first, but Sheboygan scored a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning to make it 2-1.
The score stayed that way until the fifth, and It was all Green Bay from there, as they put up four runs in the fifth, another in the sixth, and then tacked on three more in both the seventh and the eighth innings to end the game early with the final 13-1 margin of victory.
Trent Van Ess and Jacob Lacy both had big nights at the plate, with each reaching base four times. Van Ess went 3-for-4 with a walk, three RBI and two runs scored, while Lacy had a pair of doubles, walked, was hit by a pitch and drove in four runs. Jayden Adrians and Griffin Summers both finished with multi-hit games as well.
Alec Danen got the starting nod for the Blue Ribbons and pitched a gem, going five innings while allowing just one run, scattering four hits while striking out four to earn the win.
