BLUE RIBBONS DROP SERIES OPENER WITH BURLINGTON

Greater Green Bay’s six-game road trip got off to a rough start, as they fell to Burlington by a score of 14-4 on Friday night.

The Barons grabbed an early lead, putting up three runs in the first and two more in the second before the Ribbons got on the scoreboard in the third when Griffin Summers singled and then scored on a Josh Gates double.

Burlington pulled away with a five-run fourth inning, making it 10-1, and though Green Bay tried to rally, plating three runs in the fifth on a three-run bomb by Jayden Adrians, the Barons came right back with a four-run sixth that ended the game in the final 14-4 score.
