After snapping a seven-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over Waupaca on Friday night, the Blue Ribbons had a quick turnaround and struggled to get things going as they dropped their first two games in the Wisconsin State League Challenge in Sheboygan on Saturday.
Game one saw West Allis take an early lead, with a run in the second on a solo home run, followed by two more in the third to make it 3-0. The Ribbons fought back to get a run in the fourth, when Tyler Blum tripled and then scored on a sacrifice fly by Jonah Landowski, but that would be as close as they would get. The Nationals added to their lead with two runs in the fifth, and three more in the sixth, as they knocked off Greater Green Bay by a score of 8-1.

Game two didn’t go any better, as the Ribbons offense managed just two hits in a 12-0 loss to Kenosha. The Kings scored single runs in the first and the second, then put up three in the third, before erupting for seven runs in the fourth to put the game out of reach.
