BLUE RIBBONS WRAP UP WSL PLAY

NATIONALS TAKE TWO FROM GREATER GREEN BAY

The Blue Ribbons saw their 2020 Wisconsin State League season come to an end on Saturday, as they were swept by West Allis in a doubleheader, losing the first game by a score of 10-3, before being shutout in game two, 10-0.

Game one started off on the right foot, when Yuta Kudoh scored on a Jayden Adrians sac fly in the first and Liam Jones drove in Lane Sobieski with an RBI single in the fourth to stake Greater Green Bay to a 2-0 lead.

The Nationals bats came alive from there however, as they put up four runs in the fourth and then added six more in the fifth to run away with the win.

In game two, the Nationals wasted little time grabbing a lead, scoring two runs in each of the second, third and fourth innings. While the Blue Ribbons managed just three hits, West Allis tacked on four more runs in the fifth as the game finished early due to the league’s ten-run rule.
