LOZIER’S BIG DAY HELPS RIBBONS EARN SPLIT

Landen Lozier belted a pair of home runs, Brady LaViolette also went yard, and Dawson Schmidt‘s RBI singled scored Bryan Gerbers with the winning run as Green Bay rallied back for an 11-10 win in game one on Saturday.

Trailing by a score of 9-3 in the fifth inning, the Blue Ribbons bats came to life, led by Lozier, who reached base in all four trips to the plate, going 2-for-2 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch.

LaViolette, Schmidt and Boone Kirst each added two hits as well, while James Bornick worked two innings of relief, surrendering just one run to earn the win out of the bullpen.

The Ribbons didn’t fare quite as well in game two, as Kenosha plated six runs in the third, before adding five more in the fifth, to cruise to a 12-2 win.

Lozier’s big day at the plate continued, with a single and a walk, while Schmidt contributed the only other Green Bay hits, going 2-for-3.
