In a game that meant nothing in the standings, the Blue Ribbons bullpen faltered late, as Appleton came back to score six runs in the eighth inning for an 11-5 win over Green Bay on Thursday night.
The Blue Ribbons grabbed an early lead with two runs in the first, and added single runs in the fifth, sixth and ninth innings, but the Legends beat up on a tired and dinged up bullpen.
Bryan Gerbers led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, while Payton Kohnle, Dawson Schmidt and Brayden Pleau added two hits each for Green Bay.
