GREENVILLE’S OFFENSE COMES ALIVE LATE TO DEFEAT GB

Greenville plated six runs in the eighth to add on to their lead and the deficit proved to be too much as the Blue Ribbons dropped their fifth straight game on Thursday night.

Green Bay’s bats showed some signs of life, as the team banged out ten hits, and the Blue Ribbons were threatening to tie the game and possibly take the lead in the sixth, but a rocket off the bat of Wilson Zuck was snared by a leaping Stars shortstop to start a double play and turn the tide.

Leadoff hitter Dimitry Edmunds reached base four times, going 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, and Payton Kohnle continued to rake, adding two more hits as his average continues to creep towards .400 and his on-base percentage climbed over .500.
