LEGENDS ROLL OVER RIBBONS IN TOURNEY PLAY

The Blue Ribbons played their final home game of 2021 on Tuesday night, getting shutout by Appleton in a do-or-die game at Joannes Stadium.

Green Bay managed just four hits and had only five batters reach base as they lost by a score of 6-0.

Starting pitcher Blake Wallenfang went 3.2 innings, allowing just one run, and lefty Liam Jones followed with 3.1 scoreless frames to keep the game close, but a key error by Josh Gates allowed the flood gates to open late as Appleton clinched a trip to Sheboygan for the Class-A Final Four this weekend.
