BLUM, MIDDAUGH SIGN ON FOR ’21

The Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons added two more players to their 2021 roster, signing a pair of Marian Sabres, adding outfielder Tyler Blum and pitcher Taylor Middaugh.

Blum, a freshman at Marian, is a familiar name to Blue Ribbons fans after spending the 2020 season with the Ribbons. A speedy outfielder who hit .288 in 19 games last summer, Blum has seen action in 23 games with Marian, stealing eight bases in nine attempts while scoring ten runs.

Middaugh, a right-hander who has logged a team-high 55 innings, has started 4 of the 12 games he’s worked in so far this season, going 4-2 with a 3.25 earned run average. A junior from Sun Prairie, Middaugh has terrific command, racking up 42 strikeouts while issuing just six walks.

The Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons open their season on Friday, May 21st, when they travel to Appleton to take on the Legends in a NEWBL clash, then kick off their home schedule the following Wednesday, welcoming the Legends to historic Joannes Stadium on May 26th at 7:30 PM.
