On a scorching hot day at Joannes Stadium on Sunday, the Blue Ribbons dropped the first game of their doubleheader, but rallied back in game two to earn a split.
In game one, Bryan Gerbers crushed his first home run of the season, and Boone Kirst added a pair of hits, but it wasn’t enough, as the Ribbons fell by a final score of 5-2.

Game two turned out much better for Green Bay, as they plated four runs in the first and two more in the second, then kept adding on against reliever Casey Stone as they cruised to a 9-1 win.
Joe Anderson went the distance for Green Bay, allowing just one run, while Eason Hurd belted his first home run of the season, and George McIntyre went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a walk.
