Green Bay salvaged the weekend with a 12-0 win over Addison on Sunday afternoon, after dropping the first three games of the Wisconsin State League’s 5th Game Challenge.
On Saturday, the Blue Ribbons dropped a heartbreaker to West Allis, rallying back from an early 3-0 deficit, only to get walked-off in the bottom of the seventh.
Quinn Falish went 2-for-4 with a double, while James Bornick reached base three times and Trent Van Ess drove in a pair of runs.

In the late game on Saturday, Green Bay fell behind early again, and could never recover, as they lost 7-2 to a Kenosha team loaded with former pro players.
Bornick again reached base in all three of his plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with two doubles and a hit-by-pitch, with Jake Petasek reaching base twice and scoring a run.

A cold and windy Sunday started off rough, with a 6-1 loss to Lombard as Green Bay had some chances but couldn’t cash in against the always tough Orioles team.
Van Ess was on base three times, going 2-for-3 with a walk, and Griffin Summers added a single and a base on balls.

The Ribbons capped the weekend with a bang, as their bats finally woke up against Addison on Sunday afternoon, highlighted by a five-run second inning and a seven-run fourth.
Ashton Long led the way, going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and 5 RBI, while Bornick added two more hits and Noah Robinson chipped in a double, a walk and a two RBI.
Reece Piontek got the start and went the distance, striking out two and allowing just three hits in the shutout win.
